So much to do, you’ll need more than a day!

A day out at The Rare Breeds Centre is cram packed with fun for the whole family. Set in 100 acres of beautiful countryside and with its unique mix of country fun, indoor play areas and educational opportunities, no other attraction offers so much to see and do!

Children are encouraged and get up close to our friendly farm animals in the undercover Children’s Barn and our farm staff are more than happy to answer any questions that the children may have.

Birds of prey are on view and there is a display at 2.30pm each day, which includes the majestic owls and a selection of our magnificent raptors…… and we love you to join in!

Don’t forget the creepy crawlies…..if you dare.

If you are all feeling active, then there are plenty of outdoor activities, including The Mysterious Marsh, aerial runway, hill fort, assault course and tube maze. We also have some inclusive play equipment.

The highlight of our summer season is our famous pig racing….certainly not to be missed and you may even be chosen to run with our super-fast piggies!

Don’t forget the woodland walk, with a quiz trail, which takes you to the secret lake, a great place for a picnic in the summer or take a trailer ride to the top of the farm to appreciate the beautiful countryside and more of our farm animals …….getting off at the top to visit the Secret Lake and see the Green Man of the Woods.

Take the path into our tranquil Discovery Garden, which is a wonderful place to explore whilst learning about plants and produce.

The butterfly tunnel is a mass of colour and activity in the warmer months, with its exotic residents fluttering around…..everyone loves this peaceful place.

For the rainy days we have the indoor play area, where mum can have a break whilst the kids enjoy themselves in complete safety.

The Granary restaurant offers a selection of great food at very reasonable prices.

Wheelchair access is good around the farm, but maybe difficult in the woodland areas.

We also have a full events itinerary throughout the year, which starts with Lambing and Easter Fun and Activities and ends with our Truly Magical Christmas.
